Walking into Torches Dispensary—located in the iconic old Nat Sherman townhouse on 42nd Street—felt like stepping into a piece of New York history. But I wasn't there for a cigar; I was there to claim my seat at the table for the first-ever High Times Cannabis Cup New York.

I walked out not just as a consumer, but as an official People’s Choice Judge, sporting a Judge Access Pass and a heavy-duty High Times tote bag that felt like a cannabis enthusiast’s treasure chest.
